A very, very sad day in the Chicago J household after learning of the passing of Robert Montgomery Knight on All Saints' Day.

Coach RMK was very ill these past few years. I hope he and his family finds peace at this time.

John Denver was my first real concert. Saw him at Kemper arena in Kansas City in 1983 revolving around on a small stage by himself with an acoustic guitar. A truly amazing voice and songwriter. In retrospect to me now is what a real treat that was seeing him in concert

 

Garbage & recycling night here plus yard waste. I've decided to get a composting barrel. We don't generate too much really but I feel that it's the right time now and the right thing to do for our lifestyle. SN Celebration for the win. Cheers!!


Had an hour to kill b4 my vax shot today so I did a quick comb through an oulde folder and discovered this piece of a 6pk holder from Orlando, FL circa 1989. Had the beer on a rock n roll tour. The beer is still made. Currently, The Florida Brewery is owned by Empresas-Polar Venezuela. The old original Gator has a Teddy the dog smile!!

Perennial Artisan Ales

 

The last pack I had was slightly aged so I wasn't all that crazy about it. This 1 is at a month old and I really enjoyed it. Made me think I'd like to get more. I'm waiting for this year's barrel aged variants to hit the shelves to.

This is ridiculously good. Not overly sweet and just the right hint of mint. Exceeded expectations! Oh yea, love my new opener too

 

I am getting off my lazy ass tomorrow and head to the local seafood store. Plan to get either clams or oysters, and some shrimp. Debating whether to have them with stouts, brown ales, IPAs, or lagers. Hell, maybe some of each!

A world series beer here. Amazing that a Texas baseball franchise would take this long to take a Championship shot. Not counting the Astros of course. Just surprising to me that Texas with so much natural talent in state it would take this long.
