    Fiddlehead Second Fiddle DIPA - I couldn't tell you the last time I had a beer on a random Tuesday but I had a craving for one and decided to treat myself. Fiddlehead IPA gets good reviews but I'm not a big fan, too much of an onion/garlic bomb for me. But now Second Fiddle, I've had it a few times and enjoyed it so giving it another go.

    Pours from a can (09/27) a light yellow hazy (but not turbid) with a generous head. On the nose it's fruit, hops, sweet malts and a touch of alcohol. Taste, excellent! The 8.2% is almost non-existent and it's thinner for a bigger beer but not in a bad way to me, nice and crisp...for my palate this is a damn near perfect DIPA: NE but still enough bitterness to keep it from being sweet, WC but yet not really, pine and grapefruit but not too much and the pineapple/orange/stone fruit comes through, almost a hybrid of a few styles. This beer has a 98 World-Class rating on here and I would have to agree with that and this is an excellent beer and I am picky with my IPAs/DIPAs, especially these days. Budmo!
