Balance can be good, but, I miss the days of really piney flavored IPAs. I think I'll blame Euell Gibbons with his damn Grape Nuts commercials back in the day for that, because pine cones are edible.

Might as well do one more tonight. It is just hitting the spot for me.

I absolutely won't listen to any salesman trying to tell me about dates. I really don't like suggestions either usually a underlying motive to move the beer, or pushing the FOMO mentality on over priced IPAs.

I'm on the retail side now, and the dates are tough. A lot of brewers give us a 6 month shelf life (and sometimes a year). With IPAs, fresh is better. That being said, my 9-28-23 Celebration is tasting amazing to me tonight.

We actually do our best to purge beers that are past date. We pride ourselves on it.

Hello merry BAs! Thanx @Shanex for 4077. Home now from work. Still about 90 min left for lil' old me..or so. Had a great night with the band and the pub was packed the entire night. Fair State Pilsner was my choice. Even in the wrong glass it's a fine brew. Cheers to the wee hours!

Well, for me, it's the next day, but the party goes on. I haven't put the pack in my fridge yet, and the pine flavor is just picking up a lot as it warms. I'll put the 8 in the fridge after this.
Nostalgia builds as I get older. I remember the pine wars, where brewers were trying to make beers more hoppy and bitter. I wasn't on here then, but was a fan of the bitter IPAs. I bought an IPA from LTD Brewing in Hopkins, MN that promoted that it was over 100 IBU, and it was tasty as heck. Yeah, the NEIPAs can be good, when done right, but, I just love a tasty bitter IPA.

An interesting cover, and this game takes place where my namesake settled back in 1751.

Yes, that sounds like it's right for me. We don't get them here anymore in my part of the state. We do have a few old bottles of Clown Shoes at my store, and it is Rexx.

When I drove up to my house about 45 min ago there was a mystery 12 pk package at the back door. It's like 36F so I just have to crack one to see how well mother nature has chilled this heavenly drop....Cheers again!

I see various CS brews in the cities but they're small amts and always 16oz 4pks. The 12pk Xmas thang I got are 12oz cans and I really prefer that size. Plus it's a decent variety and not all NE egg nog and junky stouts.
