I feel your pain! I think the beer gods were smiling upon me the day I happened to breeze into my local distributor, and there before my eyes, was Narwhal, and a sole case on the shelf! When the clerk said it was $50 and charge for the case I couldn’t resist!

I didn't know they still made that. I really miss the Lentebok!
I have not seen either in decades.

    1) Gluek Bohemian Pilsner (4.7%): A Czech Pils from Minnesota with flavors pale malts and yeast. Clean
    versus
    2) Wabasha Czechin’ in (5.0%): A Czech Pils from Minnesota with flavors of pale malts, yeast, and salted bread notes. Smooth. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    2) Wabasha Czechin' In:
Czech Pils Battle from The Cities. First is Gluek. Not the best reviews and apparently now made by Fulton. Drinks very similar to an American Pilsner and nearly indistinguishable.
Next is Wabsha. A little bit more bread and yeasty flavors. Both are fairly simple but this has slightly more flavor.

I need to get me some more of these before they completely sell out in my area. What a beer.

    1) Fair State Bonk City (8.3%): A West Coast IPA from Minnesota with Columbus for flavors of orange, grapefruit, lemon, banana, and mango. Yeasty and sweet.
    versus
    2) The Veil Not Not You You Too Too (8.0% canned 11/27/23): A DDH West Coast IPA from Virginia with flavors of resinous blood orange, tangerine, melon, and pine. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    2) The Veil Not Not You You Too Too:
West Coast IPA Battle. First is Fair State Bonk City. Interesting flavor profile of grapefruit, banana, mango. Yeasty. Not really bitter or west-coast flavors however. Missing the mark somewhat.
Next is The Veil with a DDH WCIPA. Definitely the worst beer names of any brewery I know. Still a good and hoppy IPA. Authentic west-coast flavors. A bit juicy, and a mild bitterness. The flavors are spot on though. Very enjoyable and this DDH and juicy West-coast hybrid-style IPA is growing on me. Definite winner here.

I thought this video would really suck, but it was actually pretty decent - exceeded my expectations.

Deschutes Black Butte Porter, bottled 11/29/33. A bit thinner than I remembered from having this on tap mid-2023. The nicest part, unexpectedly, is the almost metallic (in a good way) aftertaste. The taste is deepening as the beer warms.

So far this doesn’t compare to Edmund Fitzgerald. I’m looking forward to the rest of the pack. I’ll reserve judgment until I’ve had a few more of these.
