I suppose I should drink any remaining "Christmas" beers that are lingering around.

 

Right on. That's the variety in the mix 12pk that I just picked up. I also see in this thread a simple Experimental IPA. Betcha it's a gooder! How are you liking your BIPA? Cheers!

 

1) BlackStack …But I Digress (8.1% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Citra, Strata, Nectaron & Cashmere for flavors of lemon and grapefruit citrus, OJ, and bright pineapple.
2) BlackStack DDH Loud Pack (8.3% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Citra, El Dorado, Mosaic, and Galaxy for flavors of orange, pineapple, melon, and mango. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner:
1) BlackStack DDH Loud Pack: BlackStack NEIPA Battle. Both fresh, but of course never a canning date. First is ...But I Digress. Nice hop profile. Bright, lemony, and grapefruit. Juicy citrus.
Next is Loud Pack. Similar, but slightly more orange, pineapple, melon, and mango. Slightly larger and sweeter as well. As it warms, it drinks a bit too large and sweet for my taste. Starting to prefer ...But I Digress. Both are fairly similar with standard hop profiles.

Man, I am so sick of the rain and snow - we got another few inches of HEAVY wet snow overnight, stuff was like concrete. I ended up using my grid trick - that allows the snow to start melting as the sun comes out, even though there wasn't a lot of sun. Then a few hours later I went out and finished clearing the driveway, much easier at that point. The plow left a wide swath of slushy, wet snow at the end of the driveway that was a pain to clear. I didn't bother with the snow blower since this stuff just tends to clog the chute so it's not worth the effort.

 

I'm liking it. You gotta try it.

Tired Hands DDH Punge. A beer of the year so far for me. It's not often that I feel like I "need" a beer, but today's one of those days. Humans can be really disappointing.
