Half Acre Slow Melt IPA (Citra/Mosaic). Believe this one is fermented with a lager yeast which would make sense given its crisp and clean feel. Dank blueberry, bright tangerine, grapefruit peel, grass, and pine. Solid stuff.

And @beergoot guessed it, but I'm pretty predictable  Bill Evans, Interplay spinning. From 1962 ha, my wonderful Japanese pressing that sounds incredible.

I miss that one, along with SN IPA Hop Hunter that was posted before. I don’t know. Was readily available in 2020-2022 around here and totally vanished since. I just assume they imported a lot of these, of which I’ve drank many and stopped it. Sad.

    Revolution Straight Jacket (15.0%):
An BBA English Barleywine from Chicago with flavors of caramel, brown bread, molasses and bourbon, with a medley of dark fruit and cocoa.

First try at this one. Had to muster up some strength to take it on. Interesting pour. Milder head than I expected. Intense aromas of bourbon, caramel, oatmeal and molasses. Upfront it's astringent and carries a bourbon burn. As it evolves toward the end there's more raisin, dark cherry, and cocoa flavors. Sweeter and more smooth off the end hiding the alcohol better. Not an expert on the style. It's a bit astringent and burns a bit off the front before the malt sweetness soothes it out. I bet it will be even more smooth and complex with some age. I have no baseline for comparison for this type of beer. It's very good no doubt. I might have to try more of these Revolution BBA Bombs.

How did these Lagunitas, Sierra Nevada, and Brooklyn beers sell in your area? Were you single-handedly clearing the shelves or are there some other like minded folk that try these beers?

I'm on the same boat. I got to try more of their BBA stuff. Which is why I will have @jzeilinger come over to teach me. I have several of their products like DB VSOD, Straight Jacket, Life Jacket, Dread and Breakfast, and many more but I'm too afraid to drink them by myself!

That one I did drink by myself and it's great. Cafe Deth too. Aged or not. I consider myself an idiot for living in Chicago for 8 years without ever drinking a Revolution beer.

Lagunitas Beast of Both Worlds DIPA (Mosaic, Citra, Strata, Sabro). Have wanted to try this one and saw it on draft so decided to give it a go. It’s no Lil Sumpin, but it’s not horrible either. Grapefruit and orange with some mango, papaya, and pine. Dangerous for 8%. Enjoyable, but I wouldn’t get a 6 pack of it.

Sometimes the best meal is the simplest meal. This was angel hair pasta with roasted peppers, 3 Thai chilies, in chili oil with garlic. A little Parmigiano Reggiano to finish things off. Damn, it was satisfying!!!

It’d seem they sell pretty well, and aren’t much pricier than the regular Belgian of any styles I purchase often.

Truth be told, I did my best to clear the shelves off those beers myself but someone evidently thought of me, and my liver and decided to help out.

Being serious, I regularly go to the supermarkets instead of the beer oriented stores and they indeed, every couple of days have to add more of those American now popular beers here.
