Last time I had this, a few years back, it was all diacetyl. This one is quite good; nice balance of the molasses and vanilla.

Torpedo time...and Freddie Hubbard time. I'm pretty sure @beergoot has this album as well  Part of the excellent Blue Note Re-Issue Series in the mid 70's, which are basically how I learned about non Miles Davis and John Coltrane jazz when I was a teen, ha.

In the good ole days, a drive down the Garden State Parkway in February was easy. Not any more! It's like the whole world has moved to Ocean County. Finally made it though, and looking forward to a relaxing long weekend, beginning with a favorite local DIPA. Cheers to the Presidents Day weekend, BAs!

...so many vinyl and CDs, I can't recall if I have this or not (probably do, but)...are you familiar with Marie Schneider and her big bands...???...just got a beautiful 3-lp box set (0144 of 1000) through Artists Share...first heard of her when she released 'Coming About'...have that at several other CDs of hers...the box set is nice because she hasn't released any vinyl until now...it's called Maria Schneider Orchestra 'Decades' and is basically a sampler of cuts from her previous CD releases...I don't recall if there are any bonus cuts...

Sherman Street is about mixing it up when it comes to beer styles. First, how many brewers do a Triplebock? @muchloveforhops3 If that isn't enough, then age it in a Madeira Barrel for a year+? This is the stuff that makes my good friend @The_Kriek_Freak blush.

Can't say that I have, but always looking to add to my list of music and books ha. I have halted all my music buying so far this year, as I need to take a brake for my wallets sake. Now, that my parents are always on me to go back to church, I can say I'm giving up buying vinyl for lent ha.

I think someone pointed it out to me on this thread at some point, probably after I posted the beer I posted with it. I have probably used it afterwards with same beer in the past. And I agree, the wordplay is the focus, but the little picking flairs were quite nice.

    1) Sierra Nevada’s Celebration Ale (6.8% canned 10/2023): A Fresh-hop holiday IPA from California that has flavors of red grapefruit citrus with spicy pine and caramel malts.
    versus
    2) Stone Ruination (8.2% canned 1/17/24): An Imperial WCIPA from California with flavors of bitter grapefruit and resinous pine. A sweet, but balancing bitter finish. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    1) Sierra Nevada Celebration:
WCIPA Battle. First is Celebration and my last of the season. Dank and resinous tangerine and pine sap. Bitter, but slightly sweet. Holds up well with age.
Next is Stone Ruination. Far more fresh and a larger beer. Cleaner and more bitter. I am liking both of these tonight.
Not my favorite beer, but I like how Celebration has held up. People are forreal about it.
