Some straight ahead up-tempo blues ..

 

1) Stone Ruination (8.2%): An Imperial WCIPA from California with flavors of bitter grapefruit and resinous pine. A sweet, but balancing bitter finish.
versus
2) New Glarus Scream IPA (9.0%): An Imperial IPA from Wisconsin with flavors of orange, resinous pine, melon, and berry. Smooth. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner:
2) Stone Ruination: Imperial IPA Battle and both are rated World-Class. First is Stone Ruination. 3rd day in a row out of my six pack. Rated 95 on Beer Advocate. Lots of dank pine and bitter grapefruit. I really like this beer.
Next is New Glarus Scream. Rated 96 on Beer Advocate. Lots of smooth and resinous tangerine, pine, and blueberries. I would suspect there is some Mosaic in here. It's smooth. I like it for a midwest IPA. I give both of these a very high rating, but World Class seems high. I do slightly prefer the Ruination.

My son's friend was gracious enough to leave a few of these behind during a previous visit and I just found them.
Still delicious! Somewhere between a Marzen & Festbier, definitely pours more brass color than copper.
Great balance, mouth feel and finish, this beer can be consumed rather quickly in mass quantities.

 

Fat Heads Head Hunter IPA with some fish dip for supper. The wife somehow clogged the kitchen sink, Draino didn't touch it, I'm trying not to be a dick but this shit always happens around 2130 at night. I'll pull the trap in the morning, everything else is good so the septic should not be the problem.

That Jai alai looks very murky. I saw those double tubes a bit ago and they were very old. I thought that was new beer but it’s seems like it’s been around for a while.
