What beer are you drinking now? #4159

Dank is a pretty broad term isn't it? I find different kinds of dankness in diff beers. Last nite I had an IPA that was only 6% but had hop burn and was lightly catty...which is a dankness factor in my book. That's a nice lookin' Pils!

 

Next up is an absolutely delicious Stone Ruination.

Pollyanna Jötunheimr double frozen barrel aged Eisbock.

Pollyanna has been freeze distilling this beer for three years now. They aged some of last year's bock in their own Inception bourbon barrels and then froze it again this year and this is the resulting elixir.
Whoa!!
I thought last year's base Eisbock was a little aggressive, but they doubled down after resting it in wet oak and the result is sublime. SO much caramel under the bourbon shield and, at 14.2%, SO drinkable. Scary.
Well worth the $1 increase for the 5oz pour over this year's base.

 

Bourbon Barrel Aged Quad by Great Lakes. 11.5%. Never saw it before this week. Cheers.

 

Good afternoon, all! This is how I celebrate Laetare, the one-day respite from the somber and penitential season of Lent. Back to the diet tomorrow. Today, though, it's lunch at Whiskey Road, Cedar Falls, IA. Bison burger, with whiskey BBQ beans, spicy BBQ sauce, and SingleSpeed's Tiny Dancer pale ale. For the digestif, Old Weller Antique 107 (Whiskey Road barrel select). Back to reality soon, but I'm enjoying this moment. Cheers!

That is Madtree Seeing Colors Hazy IPA. I've only tried it once, haven't rated on BA yet, but I did like it. I should probably grab a 6 pack next time I'm at the grocery.
