I noticed on Southern Tier's website that their Blackwater series includes just Creme Brulee and Choklat.

No mention of Jahva, Mokah, or Oat. Has anyone heard if these are retired?

I swear the site included these last time I looked a couple months ago.

They did, not sure what happened, but the series was bloated so I not surprised consumers picked favorites

    WTF?

Oat was the best, followed by Mokah imo.

    Keep Creme Brulee?
    Really?
I don't hate the brew, but WTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF?

I was told that the three mentioned (jahva, oat, mokah) are not being produced this year...

Seriously, Choklat is tasty imo, but I only want one every few months and Creme Brulee is something I'd drink once or twice a year with someone.

On the other hand, OAT, MOKAH, & JAHVA are things I'd drink monthly if available.

Oh well, there's still Backburner, but other than that I'll look elsewhere for beers.

Sorry Southern Tier, but you've really disappointed this consumer.
Guess I'll be buying a crap load of B.O.R.I.S, D.O.R.I.S, & Speedway Stout.

Sad to hear, but thanks for the heads up. I will be sure to pick up some Mokah soon before it's all gone.

My local beer store just got a case of Mokah, not more that a week or two ago....

What the hell? Why would they get rid of any of these beers when they are some of the best stuff they make and seem to sell fairly quickly? I'm glad they still have Choklat (actually bought two bottles today), but come on...

I've recently seen it on shelves also, just not sure how old it was.
Also, recently bought 2 bottles of Oat not more than a month ago & received one as a gift for Xmas.
And furthermore, a distributor near me had a case of Mokah sitting on shelf just yesterday.
That's why this thread sort of shocked me.
Didn't bother to check how old any of this stock was since all of these brews have seemed somewhat ubiquitous in my neck of the woods for the last few years. As a result, i honestly never bothered to check release times on any of the BW stouts.
I'm beginning to think that these bottle/cases are old stock.

Seems like a stupid move to me...

...from a distributor that's been sitting on it for months?

Nah, they don't do that, right?

I was told by a rep at a tap takeover that those 3 beers weren't being brewed again. I wanted to call BS, but I guess this confirms it.

I guess it's possible but they implied that it was new. It tends to fly off the shelves around here and I hadn't heard anything about it possibly not being brewed this year so I had no reason to question it.

If I get a chance I will swing by tomorrow to check it out.

I defy someone to drink a full pint of Creme Brulee

Seems dumb to keep what many consider to be, at the very least, borderline cloying brews in the BW series.
Will probably just stop buying Southern Tier beers now.

Just picked up a mokah & choklat.
Oat is all over the place as well as java.

I just bought a sixth barrel keg of Mokah for my roommate because it is one of his favorite beers, he is going to be pissed when he hears this news, and will probably tell me to buy all of the Mokah that i come across. I don't get it, it would be like Stone deciding to stop brewing Double Bastard.

Have had several in one sitting and will again. You'll smell like a stripper (vanilla) for days afterward

Why not at least keep Jahva along with Choklat so we could at least try to blend our own Mokah?
I find it ludicrous that there is such demand for Creme Brulee.

Seriously, WTF? I always have considered the Blackwater series the backbone of ST. Don't get me wrong, Choklat and Creme Brulee are good, but the others were great too. I'm considering sending ST a email about this, and grabbing all the Oat, Jahva, and Mokah off the shelves that I can
