Weihenstephaner Krstallweiss...looks like I'm joining @cbcrunch with this one. Always a classic.

Joe Henderson, Power to the People. This new reissue is awesome.

As a public service announcement, if you have cats and have an Easter lily in the house from last week, GET RID OF IT! Lilies are extremely poisonous to cats. We are finding that out the hard way, but the test results on our cat this afternoon look promising for no lasting kidney damage.

Whoa. That's a close call with kitty. We're aware of the no no plants having 2 cats. Glad all is good. :beers:

    1) Phase Three DDH Linear Gradient (7.7% canned 2/28/24): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Amarillo, & Motueka for flavors of tangerine, lime, peach, tropical melon/berries.
    versus
    2) Hop Butcher Blazed Green Relish (8.0% canned 2/6/24): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Strata, and Sabro for flavors of fresh orange, green papaya, and zesty citrus. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Happy Tuesday. A Phase Three vs. Hop Butcher IPA Battle.
Neither of the two were my favorites, but both have promise. I thought this would be a good head to head of Motueka vs Sabro hop flavor. Phase Three is first with standard Citra and Amarillo, plus some Motueka. Pretty standard flavors. Not a huge fan of Amarillo. The Motueka brings some hints of sweet lime flavors, but doesn't quite develop as much as I'd hoped.
Next is Hop Butcher Blazed Green Relish with Strata and Sabro. The Sabro shows here with some green citrus, guava, pineapple, and coconut, but again the flavors don't quite develop as much as I'd hoped. Not being harsh, but complimentary as I have the highest regards for both of these breweries. Still great IPAs, but weren't my favorite. Both are good and calling a winner is hard. I think Phase Three gets the win today for how smooth and easy this goes down.

77 degrees outside and I'd rather be sitting in the Beer Garden throwing a few back as opposed to working.

    look: 4 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.5

Pours a cloudy, soft yellow color, opaque in the glass; thick, frothy, white and rocky head, long lasting. Very pleasant citrus aroma; a bit of peach and pineapple. Rather muted citrus and tropical fruit flavor; somewhat watery; fairly light bitterness. Medium body; some acidic bite although seemingly flat overall.

This is a nice enough looking hazy India pale ale with a very decent smell, but the taste and mouthfeel come across somewhat weak and watery. An okay beer, easy drinking, just not very memorable.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

...I've had three other Green Bench beers before -- Postcard Pils (3.91), Between You & I (3.96), Pohlednice (4.05) -- all lagers/pilsners, so this is my first IPA from the brewery...so far, I prefer the pilsners...

P.S. I still don't know why I got kicked off this tour. They said I drank too much. Not them, but their handlers.

Fairly easy travel day done. Home now, the RV unpacked, sitting on the side porch drinking a Zombie Dust:

A cool 62° overcast breezy afternoon as we ease our way into the evening. I’m going to spend a week or so here, putting away the Christmas decorations, and doing some minor chores. And beer drinking

Cheers from gloomy South Charleston, WV!
