You got it backwards, Guinness is not palatable at all on nitro...only on CO2, but I'm always contrarian so never mind me

    Crosstown Brewing Siren Blonde Ale

Light gold color with small white cap.

Mild aroma of bready malt and slightly spicy hops.

Taste on entry is mild malt and somewhat firm, spicy hops. The hop level is listed at 28 IBU and it shows, clearly outreaching the malt. There is a bit of fruitiness by mid palate yet the whole remains dry.

Damn. I just realized that there's no Pilsner Urquell currently in town. Hopefully, a fresh batch is on its way!

Rarely ask for taster, but my fears of a too malty IPA experience was confirmed, so went with their Pale Ale which is more of a ChicagoJ, or Chicago for that matter, too selection.

    Yards Philadelphia Pale Ale

Brewery Notes: $7.50, 16 oz draft, 4.6% ABV. Citrusy & Refreshing American Pale Ale.

Appearance: Clear golden lightly tan pour, slow steady carbonation, bright white head leaves creamy full cover over the base and full thin fine bubble lacing clinging for dear life. 4.5

Aroma: Citrus and tangerine, light in strength. 3.5

Taste: Similar to aroma, a little stronger with citrus over pine, about a tie on this front. A bit of caramel malts poking their heads out as this warms. Decent offering. 3.5

Mouthfeel: Medium plus dryness, lightly bitter overall. Light and easy drinking, consistent with the ABV. Pine bitterness the overall finish here. 4.0

Overall: Another mild in strength but nicely flavored Pale Ale, would say the dry increasingly bitter mouthfeel is the star of this show. Would order this again. 3.5

The Brawler English Mild was the best here, this silver. Bennigans sportsball vibes sans the flair, here including the music. Looking forward to checking in and getting a game plan for a Monk-less downtown experience.

Good evening BAs! Just got off work, but it looks like a storm's about to blow through. That gives me just enough time to pull some weeds and drink a beer out back.

The purported death of west coast IPAs has been greatly exaggerated. Lone Pine IPA from Sawdust City is an old favourite that I have been enjoying for close to a decade now. Cheers!

Saint Arnold Tarnation in the glass. Old school "Strong Ale" that isn't made very often anymore.

Charles Lloyd spinning. Is excellent live albums Forest Flower and The Flowering.

Looks like a great beer. According to their website it only has four distribution sites which admittedly could be inaccurate. Still, haven't been able to find this or Cosmic Archer. Hoping to find one of these to enjoy. Cheers!

@beerloserLI, 'had to drive a few miles South to get it today but managed to find a few 6-pks. This year's batch seems a little boozier and a little less flavorful. Hey, no complaints here though, my favorite SN beer and thx again for the heads up!

@vabeerguy, I was wondering where you were and now we know. VERY deepest and sincere Sympathy to you and the rest of your family, I can't imagine what you're going through right now. I lost my dad last year and losing a spouse doesn't even compare. I hope you do take your daughter's advice and pull up a stool here at the VB, we're here for ya, brother. So sorry!!!! :sob:
