We fight for the Heady or have the connections here. It never lasts. And I've never seen Pliny here. Every Pliny has come from generous souls

 

1) Toppling Goliath Pils (5.5%): A German Pils from Iowa with flavors of lemon citrus, pale Munich malt, yeast and flower. Clean and moderately bitter.
versus
2) Summit Twin Pils (5.1%): A zwickel-style beer from Minnesota that is a newer version of the Keller Pils with flavors of lemon citrus, pale malts, a soft yeast and smooth bread malt. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner:
2) Summit Twin Pils: German Pils Battle. First is Toppling Goliath. Pretty standard German Pilsner. Nothing wows me about it though. Good, but I didn' think this was great.
Next is Summit Twin Pils. Similar, but more lemon citrus and a softer yeast and mouthfeel. A favorite for the summer.

1) Fair State The 400 Club (6.5% canned 4/29/24): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Nectaron and Mosaic for flavors of peaches, wine grapes, passionfruit, and mango.
versus
2) BlackStack DDH City Pages (7.0% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minneosta with Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo, and Nelson for flavors of orange, tropical pineapple, grapes, and mango skins. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner:
2) BlackStack DDH City Pages: A Fair State vs. BlackStack IPA Battle.
First is Fair State. Mosaic and Nectaron. Some nice stonefruit from the Nectaron mixed with the tropical Mosaic. Comes together as it warms.
Next is BlackStack DDH City Pages. Great hop combo of Mosaic and Nelson. I've enjoyed this one in the past, but first try at this year's version. It has robust aromas and strong flavors. Lots of BlackStack flavors of tropical pineapple, melon with some green mango skins. The Nelson is present but doesn't overpower. A fantastic BlackStack IPA.

You guys are living your best beer lives out in Colorado and California and whatever other states that are able to purchase RR and Alchemist beers simultaneously out casually shopping..

 

Usually available and a good choice around these parts.

 

I kind of look at it like - if they don't want to distribute their beers around here, then they don't want me to drink them. I'd rather pay for those that choose to distribute fresh beer regularly to the area. I don't chase beers.

This was absolutely the best asparagus I've had this season.Really tender and sweet. There was no information as to where it was grown so I'm assuming it was local, delicious!!

 

Drinking Czechvar . The Mrs said she is going to make some pork chops for dinner and lemondrop martinis B4.
