NBW cross-post. Ahnapee Brewery Barrel-Aged Hobo's Breakfast. A local bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout. If this beer was not good, I was going to immediately pivot to a bomber of a barrel-aged barleywine, but it worked out favorably. I need to drink away what was trending towards my first formal panic attack, after a trip to McDonald's for my kids. It is a law of science that all fast food restaurants have to screw up your order if you do not want the condiments that are standard on their food items. I know this, I prepare for it, but when I went overboard on the McDonald's app super-explaining that I wanted a plain hamburger, meaning nothing but meat and a bun, I got a ketchup with hamburger and bun on it. I knew it was going to happen. It happens every visit, especially when the receipt is explicit about no condiments, so I took the receipt and ketchup with hamburger and bun on it, opened my car door, and immediately did not have the receipt in my hand after less than a second. After an hour of looking for the receipt in my car and the surrounding McDonald's parking lot, I went in as usual for the hamburger exchange, and now I am home. Ready to drink beer with @JamFuel.

When i saw your post i was thinking i had not had one of these in a long time but these days it goes for $10.49/9.79 euro in the Eastern US. Checking my beer database i last bought this pre-covid 2018 for $5.99 in Arizona - i get that Rochefort had a major fire several years back but wow, what a jump in pricing! I am sure this was wonderful as always!
I'm enjoying a newer DIPA from Lagunitas, not bad for $10 for a sixer.

Hello BAs. Enjoying a chilled out and rainy day here. Lots of rain and high time for a beer. I brought 1 can of this back from Duluth: Hoops Champagne IPA. It's a Brut IPA and has a bright taste that is very zesty (grapefruit, lemon, melon rind, a hint of white bread), has a crisp feel, and finishes fast and brut dry. I love it! and had copious pints of it mid week. This can was filled 27 hrs ago. Cheers!!

I admit it, the only reason I picked up a single was to tick off the style for my BA stats. I'm thankful there's no duct tape in sight though.

So good - I managed to pick up another 4 pack of Heady and Focal Banger today so I'm set for a while since the drops are a long time in between. Canned on 6/11/2024 and delicious!!

Nice! The drops down here are random and unpredictable too. Three, maybe four times a year. There's a couple retailers that I follow on social media that always post when they get it to clue me in. Cheers and enjoy!
