Hot and humid like Schweddy Balls. I am doing nothing out back. OK, I placed a couple reflective stakes so the excavator doesn’t demolish a 100’ walnut tree ground root, and filled two bird feeders. Sweating like a fat kid on a treadmill.

My first grisette. Jester King blackberry version, makes sense in my Blackberry Farm Brewing glass…still the best glass ever from @Jasonja1474. Bottle was half off at the craft store, so for $11 I figured I’d try one.

It’s tart and interesting. Definitely will not be a regular style for me.

 

Do my eyes deceive me? Is that a crystal clear IPA?

I usually stay away from beers over 6%, but I would really love to try that one.

 

Can never go wrong with Sierra Nevada....

Another Focal Banger ..



@micada - I love this drummer (Donald Dean) - he's right in the pocket- I love the way he comes out of the build up like around 3:54 and 5:40. He's not a flamboyant player but he really nails that groove with some tasty stuff. Swiss Movement is one of my longtime favorite albums.

Went for mojitos (plural) after work and now settling into beers. Using the holiday tomorrow plus two vacation days to get a 5 day break. Couldn't come at a better time with highs around 100F...

That’s a more “approachable” jazz style for me, e.g., it’s not screechy blue notes, jizzified scale runs or whack ass noise. I can tap my foot and enjoy the rhythm and melody.

 

Tomorrow is a holiday? One more I evidently don’t get off.

 

Yeah - that is an outstanding album, definitely a classic. This is another in the pocket groove with Steve Gadd on drums that you might like. No bullshit going on ... If you can find it, the NY-LA Dreamband is a great album!

Great clear IPA is still out there, but much harder to find than before. If I had more than one can left, I would have been happy to send you some! Big mistake on my part not getting lots of it. Next time I see it fresh, I'll be stocking up!
