Thanks for the intel. This just went on tap around the corner from me and I was curious. Sounds like it's ok but not worth a special trip. I'll hold out til the next time Pliny or Blind Pig comes around, Cheers!

    500 ml bottled June 2023.

Moderate pour yields a 5/4 inch white head over a hazy golden body with sticky lacing.

Nose of spice and citrus. Can't quite come up with the spice, but it sort of reminds me of a spice from one of my Mom's Christmas cookies; cardamom maybe?

Taste is light to medium tart with some grape coming through with a kind of citrus near the finish with again, that spice. Finish is sherry-like booze and quite delicious.

Very nice and full mouthfeel with more than medium carbonation.
    Wonderful!

Overall, I've never had anything like this before and I really like it.
Cheers to Vasili for another gem!

    C&P from NBW #206.

Came across this so I bought a single instead of the 4-pack. Wasn’t the biggest fan of the OG KBS Espresso that they released in like 2019 or whatever. This is basically the same beer. Solid, but almost too much coffee. OG better imo. If you love black coffee, you will love this

Sun-Kissed. A dry hopped summer ale brewed with citra and oranges. There is no mistaking the orange flavor.

Arnold Arboretum, double dry hopped IPA

The Arnold Arboretum is a 281 acre wonderland of plants and trees and not to be missed if you are visiting Boston and totally free. They have a corpse plant there that is a big event every year when it blooms.

...just remember, I've indulged in a few beers and a stogie prior to this...YMMV, but I'd certainly give an on-tap version a whirl...it may or may not reflect my views re: your palate...

I know I joke a lot on here, but I take IPAs & hip-hop seriously. You don't see me post certain artists for a reason. If your diss list includes: Mariah Carey, ICP, Nick Cannon, Christina Aguilera, Benzino, Britney Spears, Machine Gun Kelly, Ja Rule, and Christopher Reeve, how can I even take you seriously? But what about all the records he sold, Hunter? Yes, he sold a lot of records to people that looked just like him that could afford to buy the record. I'd love to see those demographic metrics. Anyhow... I'm going to leave you right where you stand. Stone IPA... right from a...

...saw him in circa '73 at Ashland College in Ohio (I was 16 or so)...he certainly had his reputation of late / no show appearances...all I recall is he did show up and he and the band kicked ass...

Other Half / Surly collab Pastriness. On paper, I won’t like it. In my mouth, it’s the best of their current 3 BA offerings. The cinnamon tastes decadent, not like a cheap sprinkle, that pulls out a sublime spiciness against the heavy base. Marshmallow, also almost always adjunct non grata, plumps up the mouthfeel just right. Plus, it’s $8 less than the current Mortalis BA Olympiodorus. I’m very upset with Mortalis lately. I’d spend my money on this, or most anyone Imprint or 903 Brewers BA drinks on the shelf locally.

I’m getting a sense the IPAs are not hitting the spot for you lately. Totally understandable. As always, glad you’re hanging out with us heathens.
