Human Robot - Hallertau Pils

 

Human Robot - Roggen Heu, a rye lager

 

Pour Man's Brewing (Ephrata, PA) - Carter

A Mosaic hopped lager. Not IPA level hoppy, but has a pleasant modern hop aroma

Light golden color with lasting white cap.

A rather gentle aroma mildly suggestive of ripe peach.

Taste of sweet grain on entry, rather light, closely followed by floral hops. The combined effect of the two give off an airy, almost Springtime feel to this uncomplicated beer.

Overall it's an easy drinking beer for all occasions that call for something in that category.

 

Human Robot - Grungeist Pils

German-style pilsner hopped with Grungeist hops. Dry finish which I am a fan of.

I went to Polish Deli for some sausage. They have a small import beer collection. I bought a few. Right now I`m having a "Zatecty svetly LEZAK Premium Pale Lager.
100% Aromatic Zatecty Hops
5% alcohol
Made in Poland
Okocim Brewery in Brezsko, Poland

It`s going well with some summer sausage and swiss cheese. Light for a Premium Pale, but flavorful and great with food. A good Summertime Pale Lager.

I wish I had a lager centric brewery near me. I can get a lager, but would like to see a wider variety of lagers. Cheers!

 

Are the beers from Goldfinger, Dovetail, Metropolitan, Art History,... available to you?

They are not. Metropolitan was at one time but went away. I'm a good 2 1/2 - 3 hours from Chicago. I do get Tryptich beers and they make really good lagers. I would just like to see some of the local brewers step up their lager game. Cheers!

You can always hijack the Urban Chestnut truck on its way to the Chicago area.

 

Used to be able to get Urban Chestnut too. Enjoyed the Zwickel. But, like Metropolitan, disappeared from the shelves.

 

About a year ago UC switched distros up north here, I wonder if they did out by you as well. Might have to talk with a retailer to get a line on their status.

FWIW -- Metro closed shop earlier in the year. Don't bother looking for their labels unless Short Fuse distros around you -- they purchased the line.

 

A little recent lager love on my part yesterday, with a couple of Hamm's, at a slot lounge where a friend works.
