I saw them in 1969 and they were big then - Everyday People was all over the radio. That was one hell of a high energy performance too. As I mentioned, there was a big riot afterwards. As we were trying to get out of the area we could hear gunshots close by. Sadly, Sly got addicted to cocaine and crack cocaine and he didn't get clean until 2019 according to what I've read.

16 ounce can packaged on 06/18/24.

Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch white head over a very slightly hazy, straw colored body with sticky lacing.

Nose of citrus and some pine with a bit of a floral aroma coming through as well.

Taste of sweet citrus pith bitterness from start to finish.
Not quite a bitter bomb, with the oats and wheat doing a nice job in the curtailment department.
Pretty amazing for a lower abv offering.

Feel is fairly full with the oats, wheat and medium carbonation.

Overall, at 5% abv, this will be a great session IPA and unique as well.

    Cheers!

#2, I am plowing through these KBS variants to reduce my cellar (which is like using a thimble to bail out the Pacific Ocean) and enjoy a great beer that’s getting long in the tooth (this one is nearly 3 years old).

Check and check. The cinnamon is strong with this one, but the roasty coffee is still substantial enough to balance the sweetness. Really good stuff, IMHO.

The excellent Tucher Hefeweizen in the glass.

It is 100 degrees out, Hefe and Colter Wall just go together when it is this damn hot out.

...when I saw him in '73, the guy I went with to the show - he and I were both wondering if he'd show up or not...but, no worries...by that time, I'd say the bad was in their prime with so many Top 40 hits and all, plus, I believe, they were starting in a somewhat newer direction. - more social conscious albums and such...but, yeah, the band was tight, the show was great, and two 16-year olds had a great time...
