Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA in the middle of my daily hydration station. I get advice from
Dr. James DiNicolantonio, Doctor of Pharmacy, Cardiovascular Research Scientist. I think too many folks get advice from doctors that attended medical school 30-40 years ago. Salt isn't the enemy, your brain will not work without it, sugar is the enemy. Read up to get fresh, scientific research.

Agree Vann 100. Salt is soluble. Sugar turns to fat, so not soluble. In other words, you piss out the salt. :beers:

This is true to an extent. Sugar is def worse than salt but I do alot of excercising- I've actually been killing myself and loving it. My favorite new sports drink is Powerade the new version. 0 sugar and added electrolytes. I sweat like gallons when I work out so I need salt and H2O to relieve me which honestly I never get enough of except through water in beer. Bad

Thanks so much!!! I felt like I was heading towards thin ice post that but it's the current scientific information. Breakfast should be steak/meat, eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit, not all the popular, easy meals. None of them, steak/meat, eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit are the enemy.......all the other stuff is. OK, no more post about diet from me, I don't want to distract from the awesome beer drinking thread that WBAYDN is!!!!

Yes chef, I 100% agree! I buy 10-20 Poweraide zeros when they are 10 of $10 at Publix. I'm outside 3-5 hours a day (my choice) in the 100+ heat index, working or training. Today I went thru several showers and 4 sets of cloth's before heading out with my wife for drinks. Plain water is better than nothing but resupplying electrolytes makes a huge difference in recovery. Cheers, and you may want to try Re-lyte, (I'm not paid by them) but I have it before my coffee in 16 oz water when I get up and it's a real boost.....cheers!!!!

I have not had a Black and Tan in decades. Hard to find in Richmond for some reason. Been a Yuengling fan for over half a century. Damn, I am old. Went to college in Pennsylvania in the early 1970’s and Yuengling was a treat.
