On to a classic that I haven’t had for awhile: Carton O’Dub. Cheers!

 

Hop Butcher Two-Flat (5.75% canned 5/1/24): A NEPA from Chicago with Amarillo, Simcoe and Idaho 7 for flavors of sweet floral, bright citrus, and pine notes.

Happy Friday BeerAdvocates. First try at this Pale Ale from Hop Butcher. Amarillo and Simcoe so I'm expecting some tangerine notes which are sure there. I always like Idaho 7 too. These combine nicely for some unique flavors of tangerine, spicy floral/tea notes with some pine as well. Tropical, but clean and dry. Clean and smooth. Love the mouthfeel, and the flavors are differentiated. I like their IPAs more, but I'll never not try a new Hop Butcher beer. Fun for a Friday.

 

Damn, that sucks. In art school, I cut off the tip of my index finger with an X-acto knife while trying to cut a mat for my illustration. And damn…that sucked. Get feeling better, woodchipper!

Some four week old Punge D-IPA.

We're having the basement water-proofed next week so my wife and I are clearing everything 3 feet away (or more) from the perimeter walls so they can "do their water seal thing". It's amazing how much "stuff" (to put it nicely) that's been accumulated over the past 20 years since we built the house. There's alot of "stuff" that needs to go, the short term plan is finish half of the basement with a full bathroom and bar (all the plumbing connections => we were thinking ahead and had that all installed before the foundation was poured when we built the house).
