CTI has just reissued some of his records, on analog...trying to compete with Blue Notes Tone Poets series I'm sure. Anyway, so Straight Life has been reissued. The only CTI Freddie Hubbard album I don't have...and might be my favorite. So, I might be spending some money at the record store again soon...I know shocking. The first step, is admitting you have a problem, I'm not at that point yet

...I do have a small Vornado fan pointed at my face, but it's also a dry heat...factor in some cold / cool beers (for heat moderation therapy), and all is good...:sunglasses:

...also a wise decision on my part to ride about 2-3 miles on my bicycle to power-start my final leg (pun intended) of knee recovery earlier this morning...late evenings to mid-mornings here have been fantastic...

...and the second step (which I'm filling in for you), is to feed that urge and be happy...carpe diem vita brevis (or so it says on the old North Coast Brewing 'Brother Thelonius' labels)...

More pale ale, and more Freddie Hubbard.

True Anomaly Rocket Park in the glass.

Red Clay spinning. This and Straight Life always my favorite CTI albums.

    Stone IPA for dessert ...

This stir-fry came out awesome, the veggies had that tender but snappy bite and it was seasoned perfectly. Damn, I ate two plates worth which I never do. I didn't miss the rice or noodles so it was a pretty low carb dish as well. Basically chicken, red bell pepper, yellow squash, carrot, celery, zucchini and scallions.

I think the key was that I cooked the chicken first and set aside, then i cooked the carrots, red pepper and celery next and set aside, and then cooked the squash and zucchini with the scallions - then i added everything back to the wok and seasoned it and blended everything together - I also drizzled a bit of chili oil over everything.. Honestly, it exceeded my expectations. I'm rather content at the moment :sunglasses::beers:

Splitting a Twisted Tea beer with the wife. She had a challenging day in the bomb plant. Even after 40 years there some days the locks, combos, codes, alarms, and regs can be a pain .....

Ok, figured it out. On these walks you cross into another dimension. Oz? Whatever, it's a land that few of us will ever know.
I take plenty of 3 miles walks; only thing to show for it is sweaty socks.
