    ...basically the same here...got fairly heavy into markup languages like HTML, some Javascipt, and cascading style sheets, even some relational database stuff, but actually programming just never was my thing, either...my mind rests easier now that I'm not involved in those things at all on a professional or volunteer basis...

    They may be antiquated...but they were both excellent building blocks in their respective principles.

    There is a boatload of money in niche COBOL jobs if @Ocalafox ever wants to moonlight.

    I went the C -> Java -> PHP route for my career. Kinda wish I'd stuck with strongly typed languages cuz I'm hoping to return to the workforce and my skillset is not the highest desire.
