More Charlie Haden...one of my favorite albums. The Ballad of the Fallen, with his Liberation Music Orchestra (featuring Carla Bley). The band did a great showpiece on David Sanborn's Night Show in the 80's/90's. I'm pretty sure I saw this live when I was a kid, had no idea what I was listening to, but I liked it, fast forward 30 plus years and its one of my favorites, ha.

Bitburger Pils - Cheers!!

 

I’m loving all of the North Coast brewing varieties that you have been posting! We only get “Old Rasputin “ and the red ale around here.

 

Modist A Modist Classic: Hefeweizen, 5.3% ABV. Pours hazy golden with a four-finger white head that left wispy lacing. Aroma is the usual pilsner malt plus spelt and strong bananas. Taste follows, lightly sweet, faint bitterness. Excellent mouthfeel, overall excellent.

Nearly as good as Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier, which I rated 4.33 back in 2016. I'll do a blindside-by-side sometime if I can find a fresh Weihenstephaner. I like spelt, so that may give the Modist an advantage.

An IPA brewed by Veil. Not sure why but it seems to taste even better than when I last had it early in the week.
