I had that beer as well at the Logjammin' Lager Beer Festival in Philly this past June. I enjoyed that small pour.

    Cheers!

I had this back in august I never review beers because I have a hard time describing all the things you guys taste but I like to compare to beers I have had in the past. This one reminds me of paulaner pils. I prefer the more bitter northern German examples.

I really enjoyed this beer this weekend @Cstamp3084, I do agree with your assessment that it leans towards more balanced hop character.

The bitterness was tame but it did have a nice grassy character on the finish that I really enjoyed. What a pretty beer too; crystal clear way above average retention and lacing. Here’s the evidence from Sunday

The last time I had this Flensburger Pilsner it was in a swing top bottle and was just ok.

This canned version is a lot fresher I guess. Really good example of the style, at least in cans.

Bargain stablemates! Someone should do a taste comparison.
(I'm not volunteering; no Hamms in my neighborhood.)

In financial support of a great brewery that needs a little help: Urban Chestnut DorfBier, Bavarian Dunkel.

Bready, mellow caramel, light balance of herbal hops with minimal bitterness. Most importantly -- no roasted character. A rare American interpretation of the style.
