Good looking slice. Sorrento Pizza when I was a kid looked the same where I grew up in Mi. When the pepperoni curl up and get crunchy edges with grease floating in the middle.

I don't know if this is a real "thing" or just something pizza places around me call it. But when the pepperoni curl up like that, they call it "cup and charred." And it is great

Cup and char pepperoni is made by using natural casings to create a U-shape in the meat that cooks in that shape when heated. The result is pepperoni with crispy edges and a cool, flavorful center that collects grease.

I could not agree more. Whenever I can I go to my favorite local brewery or my favorite bottle shop. Although both are twice the distance from the nearest Total Wine it is still worth the trip. But sometimes either time or bad weather dictate that I go to Total Wine.

 

Yep, sometimes you have to deal with the bad...ugh. For me, my local shop is on the same road as the Total Wine, and way closer to me. So, i never really get to TW, unless like relatively recently, I wanted a bottle of Scotch, and didn't want to drive all the way downtown to the good Specs Warehouse (the good mega liquor store, but I'm not always going downtown).

You are so right about Total Wine Mike!! I've seen Stone Enjoy By 7-4 for sale in October at their stores near Ocala. My
rule of thumb is don't go in there without my glasses or buy anything without a date I can see....cheers buddy!!
