    Another quick update before the holidays...

    You'll now see icons when searching or viewing a place to help identify chain locations that are tagged as a main or linked to a main. Again, the main purpose for this is shared beer listings across brewery chains with multiple locations, but linked identifier now extends to non-brewery locations (like bars/taprooms) that are also part of the chain.

    This will help bring more awareness to the system, make shared beer lists more accessible, and help us identify places that should be linked.

    Kippis! :beers::heavymetal:

    Related: Handling brewery chains, shared beer lists, and duplicate place entries just got easier!

    Just checked out how the update worked with Cherry Street Brewing in Georgia. Shared beer list with both locations. Ability for Advocates to review & rate each location separately. Perfect!

    Nice and simple - I'm a fan (as much as one can be for well-done icons).

    Is this how brewery owned pubs in the UK will be handled?

    Probably not as the tied-house system (specifically the degree of ownership/arrangement) can get complicated.

    To use an American example, I'd never link Dogfish Head Alehouse to Dogfish Head Brewery as it's owned and operated independently under a licensing agreement which allows them to use the IP and whatnot.
