What beer are you drinking now? #4452

This is drinking wonderfully right now.

I have meatballs working with hot and sweet sausage. Gonna use the fond to base my red sauce. Baklava at the ready. Salami, cheese, olives, pepperoni ready to go. 2 breads. The house is mopped and cleaned thoroughly. My mom and siblings are coming over to see the little one (she just woke up from a needed nap) all is seemingly working out great very happy at the moment

They certainly put some greats beers out. Gone for another!

 

1) Toppling Goliath Fire, Skulls, & Money (7.8% canned 11/8/24): A NEIPA from Iowa with Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy, and Nelson for flavors of grapefruit and orange citrus flower, vinous white grape, gooseberry with some pine and berry to balance. Juicy, complex, and clean
versus
2) Drekker Doomsday Device (8.3% canned 10/21/24): A NEIPA from North Dakota with Mosaic for flavors of dank orange, tropical berries, blueberries, mango juice. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Toppling Goliath vs. Drekker IPA Battle. Two of the best breweries in the Midwest west of The Mississippi. First is Fire, Skulls, & Money. Possibly GOAT status with the Mosaic Nelson balance. Next is Drekker Doomsday. All Mosaic, but wonderful. Tropical, yet bright. A bit sweeter and starting to show a bit of age as the flavors are melding. One of the best when fresh though.

To be honest with you, I would must prefer Brigette Bardot, but, that’s just me!

 

Fine Creek Brewing's Experimental Pale Ale. Not sure what's 'experimental' about it but it's a hop-forward good time.

 

Waiting for the rain to die down to get my grocery shopping done. Going to be a lazy relaxing day I can tell. Unwinding from the week of festivities.

Full house here again today for the holidays. 23lb turkey in the oven. Drinking Hop Glop from ultra-local High Nine Brewing. Always a good go to.

 

I've never had anything past 15%. Man, that thing looks dark and thick as night.

 

AI Vibes IPA at 4 Noses. Dank and delicious! Cheers......

Bottom line, not experienced enough to know how this lines up vs. offerings brewed in Czechoslovakia, but like most Off Color offerings, really enjoying the can art, the proper balance and strong and enjoyable chocolate and caramel with this one.
