Have a one sided Chargers-Patriots game on and sipping on a Red Hearted IPA from Bell’s. Light rain again today but thankfully warmer, in the low 50s.
This is a nice old school red, I appreciate these rare appearances of this style!

Little Thistle First Footing (6.8% no canning date): A Wet-Hopped IPA from Minnesota with Cascade hops from Minnesota with flavors of orange, tangerine, stonefruit, hints of caramel and resinous pine.

Delving into these wet-hopped IPAs. Often seem to sweet and caramel malty for my taste.
This is from Little Thistle which has a strong brewery influence from Fair State. This has all the expected west-coast orange, tangerine, resinous pine with that soapy caramel and pine bitterness, yet sticky sweetness off the end. Shows the alcohol a touch for some warmth as possibly designed.
This is a surprisingly spot-on wet-hopped IPA. Pours beautifully. Aromas are to point. Flavors are spot on an quintessentially similar to Celebration. It shows the alcohol warmth a bit more than I'd like is the only drawback.
Little Thistle has been putting out some great beers of all styles recently and with the Fair State influence I'll keep trying their beers out. This is a great version of the style for their first version and I think we could be seeing this a lot more around Minnesota.

Howdy Advocates! Cross post from South Atlantic WBAYDN thread. I liked this Oak aged Dunkel from Round Trip Brewing so much I went back and grabbed a crowler today. RTB makes a top notch Dunkel. The Oak aging adds to it. I'm probably the only one but I like the added complexity that wood barrel/aging adds to a lot of lagers. Underrated process IMO. Cheers!

Vixen 2024 Hogna Brygg. Norwegian style of Stock Ale. The 9% of alc by vol are so well hidden that the first impression hints towards al low alcohol beer.

A local black IPA next

 

Dinner prep and grilling are the only things that still need to be done today so time for a beer. A TIPA from Tree House-The Riddle. I've been down on their triple IPAs for being too sweet but this is pretty good. Very juicy without being overly sweet along with some nice bitterness. Cheers!

Guessing you are a Pats fan, has to be hard to stomach one of the NFL's worst rosters after the generational success. Watched the Pats-Cardinals game a few weeks ago and was shocked how bad that D is. I am surprised the Pat's DC does not scheme up any blitzes to get Herbert off his block. Oh well, maybe better days a few years down the road.
