    Good evening from Finland, everyone!

    Now drinking: Kukko Lager from Laitilan Wirvoitusjuomatehdas in Laitila.

    It’s a lively, lightly-hopped (grassy, lemony), full-malt (bready), 4.7% lager. Ingredients: water, malted barley (Pilsner), hops (Magnum, Saaz), and yeast. Wish I bought another one, but I've got a couple of other Laitilan beers to drink tonight.

    Kasteel Rouge 0.0. I expected this to be somewhat awful (sweet). In fact it is rather nice. Sweet, but in a good fruity-sour way. I'll have this again this month :slight_smile:

    Nice - my Untitled Art NA online order showed up today - very cool - trying this one (it was on sale, due to it being a "seasonal" past its season!)....I got a 12 mix pack, this 6 pk and a Juicy IPA (highest rated NA beer on BA!)

    Pretty damn tasty!

    Pours a clear brown color, appears garnet in the glass; good carbonation; thick, sudsy head, dense and lasting. Superb rich malt nose; spicy caramel. Rich and sweet roasted malt taste; hazelnut; fine, subdued bitterness. Thick, sticky body; sticky residual sugars cling to the palate.

    This is a well-made, classic doppelbock.

    My folks came over this morning for the "reveal" of the two rooms I just finished redoing.

    My Mom's an HDTV addict lmao. Always nice to get their approval haha!

    Pre-gaming for a Neighbors+Neighbors dinner party tonight with some Sip of Sunshine.

    My contribution will be a big pile of Buffalo wings I'll be preparing shortly.

    Next: Kukko Helles from Laitilan Wirvoitusjuomatehdas in Laitila, Finland.

    Finnish: "Pehmeän Maukas Vaalea Lager" or a "Soft Tasty Light Lager." And that's what this 5% Helles is. Soft, creamy, biscuity, herbal, and leafy, with a light honey finish. And damn tasty! Ingredients: water, malted barley (Finnish: Pilsner, Caramel Pale), hops (German: Magnum, Perle), and yeast. I need more of this beer in my life.

    Art History Trent Bridge English IPA (Target, Olicana, Harlequin). Biscuit and honey malt character balanced by a hefty dose of resin, earthiness, ruby red grapefruit, black pepper, some sage, orange marmalade, slight passionfruit, and bright floral. Finishes dry and clean with a significant bitterness. These guys don't miss when it comes to making traditional styles.
