    Hei from Helsinki!

    Kukko Dry Lager from Laitilan Wirvoitusjuomatehdas in Laitlia, Finland. Brewed w/ Pilsner malt, hopped w/ Columbus and Amarillo. Very bright, light, and citrusy w/ a dry, aspirin-like edge and appley finish.

    50 cl can; ABV: 4.5%; carbs: 1g; of which sugar: <0,1g; gluten-free

    Not such a pleasant surprise, but I always like to try the Rice Lager brews: Jinwu Yuzu Rice Lager from Ogopogo Brewing in the LA suburbs.

    This may be a Rice Lager but it tastes of sweet citrus and it might as well be an American wheat beer. Aroma is very inviting, with that unusual citrus scent. Taste is citrus and some peaches, all quite sweet. Malty body and not so carbonated. Actually this tastes more like fruit juice with a modest fizz. Only the slight bitterness in the aftertaste might clue this is a beer.

    Schilling - Karluv 13 - Czech Dark Lager is an absolute excellent example of the style. Hefty and robust flavors for its moderately low abv.

    A Northern German-Style Pils, great noble hop aroma and a dry bitter finish. Makes it very easy drinking.

    That is a good dunkel. And well priced.

    The 15 mix pack also has the Brewers Gold. Why Brewers Gold is not on shelves In 6 or 12 packs escapes me. That is a really good beer too.
