    As most of of have, I've been through many beer "phases" in life.

    I sure hope this one's not just a phase!

    To be clear: specific to the enjoyment of this beer, not so much the quantities imbibed.

    Thick and sticky on the lips but plenty of carbonation. Tastes of candied orange peel and that's pretty much it. This is sugary sweet at first, and weirdly enough keeps getting sweeter as you sip. I used to call this sort of thing a "hop liqueur." It's more like Drambuie with a bitter edge and to be fair, a welcome acidic note. But I believe I have never had a sweeter beer, though I don't indulge in "pastry stouts" so maybe I'm uneducated in that area. From the 16 oz can purchased on the West Coast. It's a good thing I didn't notice the price tag when I bought it.

    Joining @Qbert with an Orval. Bottled on 06/06/24 and BB 06/06/29. I think I was too gentle with the pour since I didn't get the normal massive Orval head.
