‘‘Tis the season for a bock/doppelbock, and this offering from Goldfinger more than qualifies. They only brew lagers, and they do so at a world class level, IMHO.

They’re an under the radar gem in the greater Chicagoland area that is more than worthy of your consideration, again IMHO. This particular beer is magnificent, with loads of caramel and molasses. Absolutely love it.

Son-in-law grilled some pheasant he got yesterday.

My shower project has been completed. I now have to finish the rest of the room.
Cider brined pork chops with an apple/ caramelized onion/ ginger/ brandy sauce with roasted asparagus. Pork, especially bone in, is the bargain in markets right now.

Hello BAdvocates. Drinking a Revision IPA on this gusty cloudy Sunday. Rain is coming in soon, but the gorgeous spring weather was nice while it lasted.
