I wish Side Project had a version of the Casey/SP collab of Vanilla Jammy, it’s so good!!

 

MJK b2 isn’t on there. Pulling Nails La Coterie is missing. Only the Double Rye/Vanilla from Stout Week has been added. The recent Horchata/Ambiente/Morning Vibes cans. It definitely hasn’t been updated as accurately/quickly in the last year or so.

 

All of the most recent silent barrels are missing too

 

Was talking with a fellow LC member, and it occurred to me that it is probably a better value (assuming you're within driving distance) to buy a Library Tasting ticket and get the To Go options, and then trade those for all the membership bottles. Seems like you could do that for maybe 1/2 the total cost of obtaining those through the membership (i.e. membership cost + bottle cost).

Anyone know the trade value/secondary on those to evaluate if this makes sense? Kind of crazy if this isn't too far off base.

 

Doesn’t have OFGC in the magnum section either.

 

How quickly do the Library tastings sell out when they're posted?

 

I went to Library Tasting #3, I wanna say tickets were up for 30-45 minutes…. I think the last one sold out rather quickly

The first LC sale of the new member year will be late March per the email, so it is doubtful we get another drop before then

 

That email with “one of the last releases” was the reason I was expecting one, but at this point it looks unlikely

I bet one last solid release would have pushed those who were on the fence to re-up tho

 

I am not renewing my membership, but unlike the rest of the forum it's not because of the prices or sour beers. These big bottles have always been meant to be shared and at some point you have enough white labels, stouts, or barleywine to last a lifetime. I have loved being a member for 6 years and will continue to support Side Project on-site. If I drank at the pace I did during the pandemic, I would have stayed, but it's time to move on. Honestly, most days all I really want is a lager.

Sadly, I proxy for 2 people and my cancellation has led to 2 other people cancelling as well. Thankfully there is no shortage of people waiting to join and these 3 open spots will go to people who are as grateful as I was when I first got my invitation in 2019.

I’m also dropping. Like most, felt like SP didn’t do enough to make the membership worth it for a local (especially since I don’t drink the sour stuff). Too many times like this where they don’t offer to the LC, but they’re selling to the public and then selling to the public again with packages without giving the LC a shot. That’s without even mentioning that it’s $100 for a 750ml now when you extrapolate the cost of their 375ml’s in many cases, which is insane.

It’s like they’re actively trying to piss off members. For those that are staying in, I hope that a significant chunk of us fall off so maybe SP will start treating the club right again.

Busy work day for me Friday. Hoping this is like the wood finished series where they sit for a while so I get a shot but I'm not super optimistic
