Good Word Brewing and the City of Duluth, GA is hosting the Fifth Annual Little Beer Fest on March 29. What is Little Beer Fest? It's a celebration of under 5% ABV lager beers. Breweries from around the country serve up some of their best lager beers from 1pm to 5pm on that Saturday. Last year's festival drew over 70 breweries. I haven't seen this year's list yet, but it probably will be. It has grown every year since it started (with the exception of 2020). I always seem to have something come up and miss it but I'm making an extra effort this year. Cheers!
That's pretty cool huh. GWB and Wren House did a collab a couple years ago on an Altbier. Not surprised they are participating, as the two breweries are buds.
Well i was considering volunteering with a friend who is a professional volunteer at festivals, but he is tied up that day. Someday i will get to Good Word! Cheers! Tom
For anyone interested, I'm going to try to post some pics from the festival tomorrow. I'm going to be like a kid in a candy store. Some breweries I've had beers from like Bierstadt, Fox Farm, and Schilling (they will have their 10th year ann. edition of Alexandr there) are on the list. Then there's Notch. Very excited about the opportunity to try some of their beers. @CarolinaCardinals I see Cellarest will be there. Very interested in them. And Wren House. Wish I could try everything! Cheers!
I'm bummed not to be going but perhaps another year! I hope to get to Cellarest when it warms up more. No official ratings from me but i have had a few offerings at the Burial festival a few years ago and did meet one of the brewer/owners. Have a great time! Cheers! Tom
This is what I love about a beer festival. The last time I was in Asheville, back in 2022, I read about Cellarest and was intrigued but did not have time to go there. Really pleased they will be there. They may be the first tent I hit in fact. I hope you have a great weekend, Tom. Cheers!
For @CarolinaCardinals Tom, Wren House Rice Lager. A nice easy drinking beer. Had a nice conversation with their rep. Cheers bro!
