More Ocelot - a beer I've stated is the best triple IPA I've had. Today, it is entirely living up to the claims I have made. This isn't fresh - canned at the end of January - but on my palate today, I am getting a nice tropical and candied orange note that isn't as sweet as it sounds. Its also not "juicy" as I use the term. Both are likely because there is a grassy to rotting citrus peel to slightly catty bitterness that crescendos and rises from beneath the more fruity notes.

Nice opening, good balance, a finishing bitterness, and all in a way that belies Talking Backwards' ABV.


I was practicing the guitar a little, and our remaining cat seems to either not understand the concept or really dislikes my playing, as he kept banging his head into whichever hand he was closest to in order to get me to pet him.

 

World class right there.

I saw that Disney released a "live action" version of Snow White, with nightmare fuel CGI dwarfs. I have no interest whatsoever in that movie...for a number of reasons. But it did remind me of my favorite version of Someday My Prince Will Come...with Miles Davis and John Coltrane of course (Coltrane's last studio recording with Miles). I read they cut this song from the live action movie, why would you do that ugh.

And some more Guinness Extra Stout in the glass.

I love that beer. It has become my Christmas tradition to enjoy one on Christmas Eve. But I enjoy it all times during the year.
