Stone IPA (6.9% canned 1/27/25): A West-coast IPA with flavors of bitter lemon, apricot, orange, and resinous pine. Bitter and resinous.

West-Coast. The Gold-Standard. It's becoming a regular.

 

On to Minneapolis, this is Surly Furious. I’m so happy I could cry.

Swung by the new Tree House in Saratoga Springs earlier. Great overall vibe, but the pizza is . . . not good. Like, as bad as this King Julius is amazing. Hope they get that, and maybe some other food options, figured out soon. Not sure you can see how awesome this new glass is: a full 16oz tulip with the Tree House tree embossed into the glass itself . . .

 

Enjoying a beautiful evening and the first Oberon of the season. Hey @jzeilinger, I know you know this guy but have you ever seen anyone sing into their pickup to loop their own vocal harmonies?

Brothership TDH Aliens vs. Cowboys DIPA (Galaxy, El Dorado, Citra). One of the top breweries in Chicagoland for hops, this is their first crack at a triple dry-hopped beer and holy moly, it's a damn good first try. Saturated with big ripe passionfruit, ripe watermelon, ruby red grapefruit flesh and peel, canned crushed pineapple, lychee, slight guava, some navel orange, some diesel, earthy pine resin. Super soft and silky. Manages to stay dry with a nice bitterness. I really, really dig it.

Whenever I see a Stone brew I wonder why I have not been to their brewery in Richmond for the last few years. Just a 20 minute drive. I guess I am just getting too lazy.
