A few people have asked in conversations about the quality of beer they should send in this LIF so I'll throw out a few thoughts about that and other things in general:

-Minimum is 44oz. of wants, quality locals or other good beer. Definitely don't feel the need to send 100oz. of wales but realize that, like it or not, some people on BA will judge you based on the beer you send. Send out a box you would be happy to get. Because the winners will be getting so much beer, this is a good time to focus on quality over quantity. Please don't send old IPA's, re-traded beers that you can't vouch for the origin/quality, or the minimum required oz. of obscure shelf beer that is the polar opposite style of the winner's wants.
-Be mindful of distribution. Use www.seekabrew.com and other resources to see if your target can get the beers you're sending in his area.
-If you're not one of the earlier shippers, keep an eye on the hauls. If your target has already received a dozen Nugget Nectars, it might be a good idea to send something else unless they post "HELL YEAH, ALL DAY LONG, KEEP 'EM COMING!!!" below their haul.
-If you're one of the winners, update your wants especially if your wants consist of brewery only releases and other rarities. Help guide your shippers to your favorite beers and styles. If you don't do this or you say "I like pretty much anything, send whatever you want" then you can't complain about what you get. Be sure to include beers of your favorite style from different parts of the country. It's also a good idea to put something in your profile about your top wants and specific beers or styles to avoid.

Use this information as a guideline and in the end just have fun. If you have additional concerns about this please contact me privately or do some research on trading best practices - I don't want to threadjack my own thread with too much of this stuff.
