Like I said, the fridge clean out continues!

This is a remnant for our July 4th bbq in 2019.

At this point it's an American Barleywine

Good to know since we'll be visiting the 413 area the end of September/early October. Perhaps a BA meetup is in the realm...
Onto round 2 and enjoying a BA Ten Fidy from Oskar Blues in Brevard, NC.
    Cheers!

Hello, beer friends. We're back after a good 3-day break down in Cape May County. It's still April and the Sunday traffic is already getting bad. This time next year I'll have more flexibility in my comings and goings. Currently drinking Hunt the Hare, a Red IPA collab between Heavy Reel Brewing Co. (Seaside Heights, NJ) and Ghost Hawk Brewing Co. (Clifton, NJ). I love this style and wish more brewers would make it. I wanted to start drinking it so much that I almost forgot to take the photo. Cheers!

    River North Brewery -- Quadrupel
    Quadrupel ale
ABV: 10.4%; pouring temperature: 64.2 ℉; bottling info: n/a (assumed bottled in early 2025)
Source: local purchase (Coaltrain Fine Wine, Craft Beer & Spirits)

This beautiful American rendition of a quadrupel is simply wonderful. It nails all the baseline qualities one would want for this style. The mouthfeel itself is just divine. Well-crafted, intriguing depth and complexity with just an all-around pleasing drinking experience makes this a well-rounded and very enjoyable beer.

...now, re: my sister (as mentioned in an earlier post) may have been referring to 'Water Babies' (more my style of Miles' music)...but I distinctly remember checking out the album she referenced and recall the yellowish cover ala 'On The Corner'...regardless, Miles over Manilow any day ...RIP my dear sister...

My Godmother, yeah I'm a big Catholic family ha, she got me into all sorts of music. She wrote for the Urbana newspaper, covering music and arts at the University of Illinois. My Dad worked at the cross town newspaper, The News Gazette, at the time, the biggest newspaper in Illinois outside of Chicago. Anyway, before I was 10, she got me into Bjork (her debut album had just come out, and my Godmother got me an advanced reviewers copy), and On The Corner. Well my 8-9 year old brain didn't know what to do with either of those albums at the time...and I still listen to both, and still don't know what to make of them. And also why my music tastes are the way they are

Anyway, on a Sly & The Family Stone groove right now, which heavily influenced Miles' On the Corner.

Joining @eppCOS with a Focal Banger. It's been a couple of years since I've had one. When we get Alchemist drops I load up on Heady because I prefer it but if Focal isn't as good as it gets, then it's only because Heady is. Cheers!

...if I may suggest re: your ankle -- a home-made poultice of River North 13th Anniversary Imperial Stout (at a mere 22.7% ABV) with graham cracker crumbs, rust scrapings from a neglected and weathered bicycle chain, and eye of newt, then wrap your ankle up with banana leaves with this mixture - Eric, you'll be right as rain in no time...if some poultice ingredients are difficult to procure...there's still a (mostly) full case of RN13AIS at Coaltrain's...use your best judgement...

...cheers...!!!...BeerGoot (who really has slept in numerous Holiday Inns)...

Pretty decent. I bought a sixer on the way to Indiana over Easter, liked it enough to stop by JJ's on the way back to PA and get more.

Finally got the deck and furniture cleaned up. Never cared much for yellow furniture. :joy:
    All ready for the season.

Enjoying a rare locally made Kristallweizen. Pretty good effort too from Round Trip Brewing. Bee The Ball. They used Honey malt and Magnum and Tettnang hops. Grains and clover with a hint of honey. Cheers!
