    Probably Michigan....

The top 3 states for beer are:

    Michigan
    California
    Vermont

Put them in any order you want but those are the best.

Based on personal preference, I would have to say Michigan

While many states have excellent breweries, Three Floyds is, " in my humble opinion", the Meca of craft breweries therefore Indiana gets my vote.

    Michiana!

This is so true though. You can easily hit all these breweries in a day. Can't really top that.

    Brooklyn
    Blue Point
    Sixpoint

I've always been partial to beers from California, Colorado, and Michigan, but then again, this is hard to say because there are lots of great breweries operating w/ limited distribution, so a lot of us don't see the greatest beers in our neck of the woods. So this is really a tough, relatively unfair question.

    2. Michigan

    3. Others (CO, PA, OR, NY) I'd say VT but the good stuff is barely distributed.

California wins with overall quantity, but what if we lined up the top 4 'seeds' head to head:

Michigan: 1) Founders; 2) Bells; 3) Dark Horse; 4) Kuhnhenn
California: 1) Russian River; 2) Stone; 3) FW; 4) Alpine

Slight edge still to California. Very slight.
