Hey everybody, just wanted to get some info and input regarding wws. Does anyone know what year the last batch was brewed? I ask because i saw several on the shelves at my local bottle shop the other day for 7 bucks, and even though I don't have a burning desire to try it I figure for the money why not. Depending on what year it was brewed do you think its held up well just sitting on the shelf?

I have one from 2010. My understanding is that was the last batch. I could be mistaken.

I saw a 2012. The year is printed in green(ish) ink on the neck of the bottle.

For $7, I'd pick one up for sure. It's usually $10-13 here.

ok cool, then I'll pick one up just for the hell of it. Esp for the price, this is the place that I picked up 3 bottles of FW 15 last week for 14 dollars which i thought was a steal

Want want want the FW XV. So good. Were there any left? I'm driving by Philly March 8 and am ISO that beer, but that's a long time from now, of course.

I apologize for highjacking this thread. Rather not spam the forums.

I recently bought two WWS and the bottle date on them was 2010 D. My first thought was D = 4th month (April) but it seems that D represent the batch number (A is 1st batch, B is 2nd, and so on). I am curious if anyone knew when batch D was brewed, would like to pinpoint a month so I can update my inventory accordingly and have a clear idea of how old it is.

Also it seems it was out on the shelf in at room temp all this time- do you think two years of those conditions might have ruined or degraded the beer in any way? Would like to age, but am terrified it tastes horrible. X.X

I would say if any beer could handle those conditions.. WWS is it

Yeah that was my thinking as well, picked up two bottles yesterday, waiting for a excuse to share one with a friend.

DFH head brewed WWS at the end of 2011. They decided at the end of 2011 not to brew it in 2012, so they split the 2011 batch into 2 parts. Half released in Dec2011 and the other in Jan2012.
So if you see Dec2011 and Jan2012, they are they same batch, just bottled a month apart.

The last I have is late 2011 but they may have done some into Jan 2012 as well from that same time frame. I know they didn't do it late last year. And they are supposed to be doing it again late this year.
