What beer are you drinking now? #4588

Purchaed last night because my wife wanted to try it, my son, wife and I tried Hi-Wire's Wickle Pickle Beer. Not my style, but not near as bad as I thought it would be. I finished about 1/2 of it.

I've been lucky enough to see the Moody Blues in concert 3 times. Once in Denver, once at Red Rocks, and once in Boston. Every concert was incredible, what a band. I also have the Blu-Ray of Days of Future Past. If you like that album, order the Blu-Ray, it's excellent. Cheers!!

In Cincinnati for work, I’m across the river in Newport KY at the Hofbrauhaus for dinner.

And beer. Oh yes, beer, in this case their Maibock. I’m a big fan of the style, and this one is excellent - lots of bready malt flavors, and a bit of spicy hops. Prost!

 

Moving on from the pickle beer, my son and I are trying Other Half's Big Nactaron Vibes.

Good afternoon everyone. Drinking my second Lucky Lager out of the three that I picked up. Same pic as yesterday (I went into yesterday’s thread and copied the direct link) since the photo uploading sites are refusing to upload anything with the slow cellular internet here. Odd, as I can view all the pictures here on BA without a problem.

Anyway, this beer is quite disgusting. I recall it being absolutely hellacious but it tasted fine yesterday. Probably since it was my first beer in a week and my tastebuds hadn’t woken up from hibernation yet

Third Space Oktoberfest (6.0%): A Märzen from Wisconsin with flavors of rich bread, glazed caramel, toast, woodsy qualities and leans dry.

One of the best German Marzens. Great for the fall, but equally great in the Spring in my opinion. This is my last and was my favorite of the year from 2024. Only about 3 more months until I can pick it up again.

 

Drekker Good Company Helles Lager, 4.8% ABV. Pours golden, with a three-finger white head that left some lacing. Aroma is malty and bready. Taste is sweet malts, bread, hops, slightly sweet, slightly bitter. Crisp mouthfeel, overall excellent.

I think it was pretty good. Also had the draught version last week.

 

I tried this too recently. Agree with your review. I thought it leaned dry and crisp. Very enjoyable. Cheers!

 

#2, this is Jubilaum, a Marzen brewed to celebrate Hofbrauhaus’ 20th anniversary brewing in Newport. It has lots of caramel and honey notes, but the star is the almond flavor, which balances the inherent sweetness in the beer.

I am a VERY happy beer nerd.
