    It's a real bummer we don't see that 1 up here in the DFW area. Would be awesome if we did. I feel fortunate we get a lot of summer pils tho. I had got my current pack from Walmart surprisingly. Was surprised to see it on my grocery trip earlier took me all of 2 seconds to figure out I should grab a pack. I'm glad I happened to walk down the beer aisle. Was like it was meant to be :grin:

    Hey Dave! Little mystery on abv…Doug typically releases his stouts at 10% , sometimes as high as 12%, but that is usually his barleywines. Good stuff. Cheers!

    Good Sunday afternoon, BAs. We returned from the Shore on this oppressively hot and humid afternoon (that coming from a guy who generally likes hot/humid weather). Only half a year more and I won't have to make the slog of a drive home in the Sunday traffic anymore. My first pop of the afternoon is Viridian Dream, a DIPA collab between Autodidact and RAR Brewing in Maryland. Citra + Simcoe + Motueka. Despite being 8.2% it is very drinkable and refreshing on a summer's day. Cheers!

    ...I had a good email conversation with him a few years back...he basically explained that there was too many variables involved with barrel aging to accurately measure his finished beers without some prohibitively costly specialized equipment, so that's why he usually doesn't list an ABV on his bigger, barrel-aged beers...he even gave me his personal email address for further conversations, but, like my original email thread re: ABV, I've lost them both...

    ...still love his beers, regardless...

    Odell IPA in the glass.

    David "Fathead" Newman spinning...this is his first album as a leader, and he didn't make many. Being Ray Charles' right hand guy when it came to playing sax, well Charles helped out to get this recorded and released, and plays piano here. Love this.
