    1) Toppling Goliath DDH King Sue (7.8% canned 6/16/25): A NEIPA from Iowa with flavors of orange citrus zest, flower, pineapple and mango skin. Bright and clean.
    versus
    2) BlackStack Wedding Season (8.0% no canning date): A DDH NEIPA from Minnesota with Citra, Cascade, & Phantasm for flavors of OJ, pineapple, and mango.

Toppling Goliath vs. BlackStack IPA Battle. First is Toppling Goliath DDH The King. Hoppy. Orange, bright. Really settling into it's flavor here now at 6 weeks as it mellows a tad. Next is BlackStack and a collab with Weldwerks. Bright Citra, grapefruit, pineapple, and mango. Bright and summery. Leans on the sweeter end.
Haven't enjoyed DDH King that much this year, but I think I needed to give it some time. It's beginning to settle into it's flavors a bit as it hits that 1-2 month mark. Starting to show why it's The King.
Winner: Toppling Goliath DDH King Sue

Yep, I’m surprised how good it still is—though I think I also had one about a year ago. I guess that’s why they call it an old ale…

Had a nice healthy retiree lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings as a good base. Thought it better to put a wine stopper halfway thru but beer is never the same on day two even with the aeration device. I know i will pay the price with a lousy night of sleep. Besides, i have witnessed a go or two of your enjoying 4 or 5 session lagers while attending to your smoking a large pork cut :wink::wink:
    Cheers!

...well, give that physical therapy hell and before you know it, the new hardware will seem (almost) like the original equipment...speaking from experience...

Wine is never as good the next day either.
Hey, smoking meat takes patience and pacing. Session lager is the only way to go. :joy:

I don’t work at home much but I’m glad to avoid the crazy traffic. And I can pleasantly enjoy a very good local Porter on the deck. Cheers!

Stopped at the brewery and got Ten Sleep Brewing Whiskey Barrel Stout. Very good. I wish they would can their beer.

did grab a couple more Crowlers, but unfortunately they won’t do that for this one
