    Cheers Lads!

Took another slower route at Rabbit Mountain today, not bad but need a rest day.

Interestingly, I was using Google search for a members name to read about a particular beer. The AI result was full of data on the beers reviewed. I stuck my user name in and it also presented a fair amount of data focusing on recent reviews.

Seems Beer Advocate has been thoroughly scraped by the AI bots. This may be old news, but it was new to me.

Enjoying a pFriem Pilsner and a wee bit of ice water and Evan Williams Bib.

EDIT: Seems I got some Karma today for being here for 5 years. I know I am still a youngster, but it only seems like 3 or 4 years to me. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you Eric - yes, baked sweet potato - a favorite of mine. Was a pleasant and different dinner for a change. I always rub a bit of vegetable oil on the outside of the potatoes so the skin crisps up a bit and the interior gets nice and soft. Cheers!!!

New to me brewery Wayward Lane, collab with Fiden’s. BA Vespertine Reserve double mash stout conditioned on almonds, coffee, and vanilla. I wish breweries would take a break from coffee, but it hides flaws, so…Anyhow, this is good. Sort of a cacao nib aroma. Flavor leans heavy to the vanilla. Coffee is pretty mild. Almonds are almost always imperceptible to me, unless it’s an amped amount or an almond cookie like Mortalis Leto. $35/500ml is about going rate on these BA specialties. The double mashing is a wee bit pronounced but not as earthy as some I’ve had.

Edit: As it aerates, the double mashing effect really starts to show a strong hand. Earthy, full, chewy, dark, menacing. I’m digging it a lot more after those few short minutes.

The last IPA in the house. 6th Lord brewed by Basic City. If I can get off my lazy ass tomorrow I will make a beer run to the Veil Brewery. They released a few IPAs today that I would like to get.
