if i thought that the goal of a bottle of port was to drink the whole thing, i'd hate port too.

Least with port you can revisit over time.

if you use a champagne stopper on a beer and put back into the fridge immediately after pouring, it can last up to a week even with 2 or 3 more reopenings. some beers are better shared between several people anyway.

Actually, Brooklyn Black Chocolate is not chocolate...just chocolate malts. I think Choklat is the best chocolate beer out there IMO. It's best for sharing, but it taste like real chocolate to me. Creme Brulee is a sweet beer for sure, but I don't mind a small pour of it.

Yeah, I didn't mean it necessarily had to contain chocolate. I love the deep, dark chocolate flavor that comes from Brooklyn Black Chocolate. Choklat is just sweet and meh for me. I think the name is appropriate: tastes like fake chocolate. It's not because it's from Belgium that it can't be cheap and crap.

I made a chocolate cake with it and it was awesome, but when I tried to drink it and it wasn't so awesome it reminds me of those flavored syrups that come out of those hand pumps at gas stations. It's by no means a bad beer just way too sweet.

To me, drinking some milk that has been sitting out in the hot sun for a week past its due date would taste horrible...I realize to each his own and many feel CB is a bit too sweet for their taste, but horrible? Seems like hyperbole.

My favorite of the ST Stout series but agree anymore than one bottle is impossible

Was a big fan of this beer. Had once after dinner and enjoyed the aroma and sweet taste for dessert.

According to the brewery rep I spoke to, Wisconsin (in general) likes it. Apparently we "drink sweet" and it's their best market for that beer. As for me, it's a slow sipper in a small glass after a meal; I can't imagine consuming it under any other circumstances.

This thread motivated me to pop the only bottle in my cellar of CB. It'd aged for over a year so we will see how it tastes with the age on it... first sip was pretty tasty. Will post back after I finish this glass (16 oz snifter poured with about 14 oz in it

This is a quality beer! I first tried it on draft at a beer festival and loved it. Bought a big boy bottle and split it with a buddy of mine. Not quite as good as draft, but still good none-the-less. Taste matches name to a tee. Higher ABV is a bonus!

After getting toward the end of my snifter I will not go for a second pour. It was tasty but as everyone has eluded to. Would be drank with 1-3 people. 7 ox would be optimal for my
Liking. Although it did hit the style and fwiw I could see me having a bottle for my friends.
