Hey Ho BAs! My taco meat is simmering to conclusion, and to the chili in the crockpot I added about 4 ozs of this gem - Deth’s Tar (2024):

Canned 10/04/24. Poured at 56.3°. A delicious chocolate/bourbon imperial stout ringing in at a healthy 14.8%. I was glad to see these pop up on Tavour recently as I thought 2024 was a great offering…probably my nightcap as I wind down tonight’s cooking…Cheers y’all!

Ain’t that the worst? I bought a bunch of pumpkins, still sitting in the fridge and I’m gravitating towards stouts and don’t want pumpkins til next season.

Went out looking for the Northern Lights tonight and only saw puffs of smoke. Watching the Pistons close out the Bulls and over to some Mac-tion with Buffalo and Central Michigan.

After weeks of seeing you all enjoy this - it finally made it's way here. Celebration from Sierra Nevada. Can date 9/24/25. Took it's sweet time to get here but glad it's here now. Will probably have another or 2 and finish the night with a Member's Mark Single Barrel (Barton 1792 Distilled).

Even if I'm a future party of one...

It's still a Party! Damn if ORB didn't brew another winner.

Are you still :-1: on Founders Red Sweater IPA or? Some say it is a Celebration clone. I have not picked up either one, yet. :beers:

Red Sweater still not a huge fan. It's not a bad beer per se but expect more out of Founders. Reminiscent of going to a local brewery (think Hartland Brewing or Fenton Winery & Brewery) and ordering their standard IPA.

Celebration I'm typically not a huge fan of as it's usually too Christmas Tree-y for my tastes. This years (sample size of 1) actually is pretty good. Maybe that nearly 2 month journey across country mellowed it out a bit. Celebration > Red Sweater IMO.

OddPitch Brewing Knower of Names dark Wheat Ale, this has held up great and is true to it's style. Thanks @muchloveforhops3 for sending this beer, it's great and a nice break from IPA's!

Genesee Locken's Ruby Grapefruit kolsch from Aldi. canned 12/9/2023? Been in the house a while. Great head retention and spotty lacing. Aromas of big vibrant ruby red grapefruit and citrus peel/zest, light grain and pine. Taste of ruby red grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, cracker, white bread, herbal, grass, peppercorn, pine, and light yeast earthiness. Light-medium pine, citrus peel, herbal bitterness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, light-medium body, and crisp/clean/refreshing finish. Balanced grainy malt and sticky hop mouthfeel. Light lingering resin dryness with no hop/fruit astringency. Great vibrant grapefruit flavor balanced with a spot on base kolsch. Clean malt and noble hop showcase. no complaints. 4/5

Pistons Win, Central crushing it. Solid night for Michigan sports.

Another Celebration. This one's a little shy.
