    Howdy, BAs....

    I see we got a new load of Riga from @The_Kriek_Freak - huzzah! Great photos - love that interior, dark shot of what looks to be an old abbey or Rathskellar of some type. Damn.

    In any case, PLINY is what I got right now, so here it is.... one of the stranded September bottlings. Still great.

    10 miler, ez, with some 6 x 20" uphill strides this morning - feelin' ok, but the hammie won't go away and now I feel like I have some weird plantar thing going on. Sh*t.

    St Bernardus Christmas Ale. 9.8% abv and just amazing flavor…
    ( Interesting in that the beer has decent and lively carbonation in the mouthfeel, but very little foam. I wonder if this had to do with the new-ish format of canning it. It may limit the amount of volumes of CO2 that can be utilized.) [​IMG]

    One of the neighbors had her grandkids for a late Christmas. She asked me to play Santa, provided me with a suit and gifts. The 3-year-old was terrified at first but after a gift or two she was fine and gave me a high five as I was leaving to return to the north pole.

    Went uptown and walked the indoor mall which is on its last leg with no anchors and only a handful of little stores left. Walked into town an now drinking an imperial stout at Fife Street Brewing - “Sternwheeler Stout”:

    Roast malt and a hint of booze at 9.8%. Solid. My kid brother was sitting at the bar so we joined him, but we are going to do more shopping downtown. Cheers from Charleston, WV, y’all!
