Sweet, that looks VERY familiar. I've got a vertical smoker, ProQ (yours looks like a Weber Smoky Mountain) with a nice control system. If you don't like how it turns out or just want to trade recipes BM, I've got a hell of a herb rub and a pretty damn good dry rub as well, that I mostly use on my wings.

A pic, not mine, with an older label. Fitting, because the beer is past its prime. I just couldn't resist picking one up as part of my home-for-the-holidays haul. I had it on tap about two years ago (missed it last year) and really loved it with the BBQ I was eating at the time. Probably the oak.

Answer: "Happens over and over again with some sort of regularity??"

(:astonished: Did you get to the chapters yet about man's inner oedipal inadequacy thus in part driving societal conflict and ramazeutical domination in the free world ending with, "You didn't make that"?) If that's the @#$% you have to read day in and day out I'd start drinking too!!!!! :grimacing: Holy CRAP!!!!!!! You EARNED that beer tonight!! In fact, have a 2nd one on me!!!!!

Hahahaha it's okay, this particular book is just a little dense on the theory and it's outside my original field of study. It's actually a really stimulating, well-articulated read—just gets a little thick at times.

I love Le Freak! Definitely agree that anyone who's into tripels or DIPAs (or both) should give it a shot. Couldn't believe it when one of my favorite stores was selling fresh Le Freak for $8.49/ 4-pack over the summer. LOVE that shit.

And your description of AVBC Hop Ottin' has got me intrigued—just need to get some of it fresh around here.
