What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #4829

Happy Thursday ba. Grabbed another pack of these. A bit dated and man does it drink it. Not bad, by any stretch, but not exactly popping off as it does fresh,

 

Back from running around town getting stuff done…home now enjoying a Tropicalia:



Bright orange nose/taste. A clean crisp American style IPA. Glad I got a case as I rolled through Georgia on Monday. I believe this is the best IPA in its class out of Georgia.

Some desk work this afternoon before we head to a brewery that makes below average beers, but serves good food (and has guest taps) . Cheers y’all!

 

Keeping it on the light side. I'm amazed with @REVZEB 's drinking prowess. I've had just over 2 thousand different beers in my 12 years on this site. 13 years = 4,745 days. Cheers.

 

Taking the wife out for our anniversary tonight, pregaming with some Breakfast Stout

 

SN Oktoberfest, a bit long in the tooth, but tastes fine, I loaded up on festbiers so….more to come. Cheers!!

Having a Little WIllow Marble Run DDH DNEIPA

 

I've had a couple of their IPAs and they were great. I was literally a few yards from their taproom in Montreal a few months ago and neglected to go. I'm mad at myself.

 

Stadin Panimo - New England IPA

It's funny how sometimes I provide my local beer shop with more beer than it provides me. I often stop by and share some beers from my travels (or trades, or other acquisitions) with them. This time we are starting with a NEIPA from Helsinki's Stadin Panimo. I went to Stadin Panimo to buy a cool bottle of Cantillon they had (made with Sea Buckthorn) and I also grabbed this can of their own beer. It's quite nice. Not as juicy as most stateside NEIPAs but very nice in its own right.

Good afternoon BAdvocates. Woke up to the unmistakable crunch of cars driving on ice. Finally just got my sidewalk cleared off.

Now drinking a Goose Island Bourbon County Chocolate Praline Stout. Getting a lot of sweetness and booze. Perfect for this icy/snowy Thursday.

When I go to Whole Foods to load up beer, I usually only get two other things. One being seafood (if reasonably priced) and the other being these hearty deli pork burritos. Man these things are good.

 

1) Toppling Goliath Mosaic Mamba (8.5% 9/30/25): A NEIPA from Iowa with Mosaic and Galaxy for flavors of orange, melon, and mango. Smooth.
versus
2) Mortalis Ceres (8.0% no canning date): A NEIPA from NY with Citra, Simcoe, and NZ Mega Terps for flavors of lemon/lime, pineapple, and mango.

Toppling Goliath versus Mortalis IPA Battle. Repeating this as I wait for a new shipment. I've already reviewed these. Mamba still drinking superb. This Mortalis is amazing.
Winner: Mortalis Ceres

 

Heathen Brewing - Epitaph (BBA Russian Imperial Stout)

Moving on with a beer I got from Tavour. I kept it forever in my cellar for some reason. It's absolutely amazing.

 

Taking a trip to the dark side now after a couple light beers. Happy anniversary to Mr. and Mrs. @Chickenhawk9932! Here's to many more.

 

Thinking you don't need to keep it in the cellar to keep cool there in Greenland.

 

Good point. But you can never be too sure can you? Kinda like vaccines.

 

Mrs O, Little O, and I are at Seedz Brewery in Union Pier MI, a fantastic brewery that focuses on German style beer, but does other styles as well. This is Hopper’s Hell, an excellent Helles lager named after the brewery doggo.

I’m so happy I could cry.
