My last of the evening and probably for the next few days at least.
This is an odd German beer. It has a very soy bean style aroma, almost soy sauce esque, but the flavor is extremely mild, with a touch of Edamame character, and maybe a hint of coriander and banana. Not bad by any means and very drinkable but not quite what I was expecting. Overall it’s still enjoyable though.
Gonna put on The Life Aquatic by WA and have myself a cozy Friday evening.

Today, it's bitterly cold, out here in McGregor, but there's lots of sunshine too--and as the weekend approaches, both cats Gracie and Sundae were curious as to the new brews of the day: First, with Gracie, it's my ninth beer from Collingwood, Ontario's Side Launch Brewing--their 5% Dark Berry Sour...

Tomorrow: Four new beers (since it's Saturday and the bonus beer's light) for me to contemplate, from the following breweries:
--Rose City Beer Works (nearby Windsor, Ontario; my eighteenth of their handiworks);
--Stieglbrauerei zu Salzburg (Salzburg, Austria; my fourth);
--Unibroue (Chambly, Quebec; my tenth); and
--Walkerville Brewery (Windsor; my seventeenth)...

Maine Dinner - Cheers!!

 

Loaded my wood stove twice last night. Got up to 78F in the bsmt. If there are any cold air leaks in the house they're easily detected. Just look for a bit of frost. K A R A Z E E cold. Went outside last night for about 10 min and my coat that's rated to -35F felt like a jacket in no time flat. It's so cold that things made of metal begin to change. Hydraulic systems become fussy. It becomes difficult to breath in air. It takes the human body too long to process the cold air. It's like a beautiful nightmare.
I'll stop now and just have a beer please. We carry the torch BAs.

If I could have this beer fresh and year-round I would essentially push broom the kerf dust and off cuts that make up some of my usual fridge scenery. Love it!
